Training shouldn’t have anything to do with social skills, just how effective it is. You’re skilled, which is important, and to me that’s really what matters.

It is and it isn't, though, Allison. I'm good at the technical part now, which is especially ironic given the only reason for that is because a different version of you taught me to be. But if the way I actually teach it isn't compatible with the way the student learns best, then they're not going to retain it with my style of teaching. So yes, it's important, but it's also not a full reassurance that I'd be good at this. I'm telling you...I was very bad at it the last time I tried. So, as long as you go into it knowing that and you're still willing to let me give it a whirl and see what happens, then yeah. I've got your back and I'm on it. Just know the risk is all I'm saying.

I don't know, I haven't personally had a run-in, so it's probably not really my place to speak to it. I just know there've been some flare-ups where locals get up in arms about us being here and then they just find something else to be pissed about the next month. What kind of run-in...? You okay?
I think my view on it is skewed considering my training, but I get where you’re coming from. I can put up a message and see who else would feel comfortable training. But yes, let’s try it. If you end up not liking it or something else happens, we’ll figure it out.

I’m fine. But I don’t want other people that don’t have any kind of training to go through this shit. Maybe I’m a little too late, but I can’t just sit and not do anything, either.
This is the part where a normal person would ask if you called the cops but given my own personal experience and the fact that I don't trust cops any further than a human could throw one...you need help taking care of it so it doesn't happen again or are you good?
It's never too late. Sometimes it can feel that way, but if one person gets spared that situation, then it wasn't too late for them. You know?
